23 November 2015 – Nexia TS is delighted to participate in International Accountants Day 2015 which was held on 5 November 2015 at Gardens by the Bay. Organised by CPA Australia, Singapore Accountancy Commission (SAC) and Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) for the fourth year running, the mass event saw about 3,000 participating accountants. As per tradition, firms collaborated with charity beneficiaries to bring cheer to the needy through a series of meaningful activities, adding to the vibrancy the accounting profession can bring to a charity-focused carnival. The Senior Minister of State for Finance and Law, Ms Indranee Rajah, made a special guest appearance.
Not forgetting to give back to the community, Nexia TS is pleased to work with Students Care Service in promoting their ‘Hampers for Hope 2015’ project – Students Care Service’s seasonal fundraising project in which a portion from the sale of the hampers will be used to fund programmes for underprivileged children and youths. Equipped with eye-catching billboards for publicity, Nexia TS colleagues distributed Hampers for Hope 2015 flyers to fellow accountants at the event and in addition, had successfully ran a private fundraising bazaar previously within the firm to support Students Care Service’s meaningful programmes for underprivileged children and youths.
Besides the main event, the firm also went through the corporate team building program, Pump It Up Challenge, to allow staff from different departments to foster greater bonding and to get to know each better outside the conventional office space. Physical limits were tested and at the end of the day, everyone had great fun and the spirit of team work was further inculcated amongst Nexia TS citizens – it was a day well-spent!
“We are delighted that International Accountants Day went very well – it is an excellent opportunity for everybody to get together in an informal, relaxed setting. Also, besides setting aside quality time to take a break amidst our busy schedule to have work-life balance and to get to know each other better, we were also able to do our part for the needy by giving back to the community we operate in.”
Henry Tan, Managing Director, Nexia TS

About Nexia TS:
Nexia TS was founded in 1993 by two experienced chartered accountants – Henry Tan and Sitoh Yih Pin. After working as managers for one of the international accounting firms, they saw a vision and an opportunity to establish their own organisation – not any accounting firm – but one which is unique in their personalised and well-qualified expertise.
To date, Nexia TS is recognised as an established mid-tier local accounting firm. We have grown significantly in size over the years. Being an independent member firm of Nexia International, we are affiliated to accounting firms in many parts of the world. This means that our clients will get to enjoy personalised, comprehensive and quality services at competitive rates in Singapore and globally. Our reputation for quality has been recognised by clients and accounting professionals. As testimony to this, we are among the first few local accounting firms to be accredited by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia to provide supervision of professionals undergoing traineeship to qualify as Chartered Accountants.
Headquartered in Singapore, Nexia TS has established a strong presence in various countries across the region. Nexia China is a one-stop centre providing advisory services for foreign-invested enterprises in China. NTS Malaysia and NTS Myanmar provide a full suite of corporate advisory services for our clientele with operations and new foreign investments in the respective countries.
