Lee Tze Shiong
Director, Transformation and Quality & Principal
Tze Shiong has a total of more than 25 years of audit experience, most of which were with the large international audit firms. Prior to joining Nexia TS, he was the Divisional Director of the Public Accountancy Division of the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA).
In ACRA, he was the Assistant Registrar for the Public Accountants overseeing the Practice Monitoring and Professional Oversight Departments.
Prior to joining ACRA, Tze Shiong spearheaded the Small and Medium Sized Enterprise (SME) audit group in one of the Big 4 accounting firms in Singapore. He also assumed the business development role for the SME audit group as well as the firm’s Audit Innovation Program.
Tze Shiong was involved in the audit of listed and multi-national groups, initial public offerings and other audit advisory engagements. He worked in different oversea offices of the Big 4 accounting firms, which included Australia, China, Hong Kong and South East Asia.
Associate Director, Forensic & Litigation Support Services
Maria has more than ten years of experience in assurance, compliance and other advisory work. She now specialises in data governance implementation and compliance, over areas such as GDPR and PDPA.
Her clients include listed companies, multinational companies and statutory boards and cover statutory audits and other certification exercises. Her industry experience consists of manufacturing, shipping, trading and retail and she also has experience in initial public offering exercises, financial due diligence and forensic accounting engagements.
Maria has also been involved in technical and quality control work, specialising in training development and administration. She has developed and conducted training on topics such as audit methodology, quality control, technical software and soft skills.
Dr Ernie Teo
Ernie Teo is an economist and game theorist with a focus on technology, fintech and blockchain. He co-founded Dedoco, a document process solution that is built on blockchain to prevent tampering of the documents and create an audit trail for authentication and validation (signing). Ernie is also Vice Chairman of Blockchain Association Singapore and Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the National University of Singapore Business School where he teaches Fintech and Blockchain. Ernie is active in the blockchain community in Singapore, giving talks and seminar both in the industry and at universities. He has also published in the area of blockchain and fintech, most recently in the 2018 IEEE International Conference on Cloud Engineering. A pioneer of blockchain education in Singapore, he conceptualized and taught the first blockchain course as a part of a degree program at the National University of Singapore. He received his PhD in Economics from the University of New South Wales, Australia and also held academic positions in Nanyang Technological University and Singapore Management University.

Howie Lau is the Assistant Chief Executive at Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA). The Media & Innovation Group comprises of Media & Ecosystem Development, Strategic Media Partnership, Innovation & Tech Ecosystem, Internationalisation Platforms & Partnerships and Singapore Film Commission.
Prior to his appointment, Howie was the CMO and head of Consumer business at StarHub where he was responsible for the Mobility, Pay TV and Broadband businesses as well as charting StarHub’s brand and marketing. Before that, he was the Vice President Corporate Development of Lenovo where he led Lenovo’s global end-to-end post-merger management and related merger and acquisition matters. He was also Lenovo’s CMO for Emerging markets which spans China, India, Eastern Europe, Russia, South America and South East Asia.
He has more than 25 years of experience leading teams, managing P&L, corporate development and marketing across many countries in Lenovo and IBM. He serves as the Immediate Past President of Singapore Computer Society, the Governing Council for Singapore Institute of Directors and the board of Singapore Science Centre.
Howie holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the National University of Singapore and has received the Philip Kotler marketing excellence award, NUS outstanding alumni award and NUS Business School Eminent alumni award.
