Join us at this webinar as our team of Valuation & Transactions address valuation and due diligence issues associated with the uncertainties arising from the pandemic.

The team will give an overview of investment sentiments, M&A trends, sectors of interest and key criteria for investment as fund raising continues to be a concern for businesses. Implications on valuation will need to be addressed in fulfilling financial reporting requirements as well as private equity investments. Some key highlights include comparable multiples, adjustments to forecast cashflows and discount rates.

Grace Lui

Ms Grace Lui is a director at Nexia TS Advisory Pte Ltd, a member firm of Nexia International, has been involved in various aspects of business advisory work including pre-IPO advisory, corporate restructuring, business strategy studies, business valuations and financial due diligence. She has performed internal controls reviews, financial reviews and business planning for various companies.

 

To-date, her industry experience covers manufacturing, distribution, construction, restaurant management, retail, lifestyle, hospitality, marine and telecommunication companies. Some of the companies Grace had assisted in the aspect of valuation include Sunpower Group Ltd, Allied Technologies Limited, Advancer Global Limited, HC Surgical Specialists Limited, Keong Hong Holdings Limited, AA Group Holdings Limited, Soon Lian Holdings Limited, Singapore Myanmar Investco Limited, and XMH Holdings Limited.

 

Grace graduated from the Nanyang Technological University with a Bachelor of Accountancy degree and is a Fellow member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA). She is a Chartered Valuer and Appraiser under the Institute of Valuers & Appraisers of Singapore and a member of the International Association of Consultants, Valuators and Analysts. She was a member of the ISCA Valuation Sub-committee for 2013 to 2014 and a member of the Complaints and Disciplinary Panel of the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority of Singapore for 2013 to 2015. Grace was a former member of the Board of Governors of the Spirit of Enterprise from 2015 to 2016.

She has performed due diligence reviews, financial reviews and business planning for various companies.

Her industry experience covers construction, education, engineering, electronics, fashion & retail, food & beverage, IT & telecommunications, manufacturing, media, oil & gas, healthcare, tourism, property development and logistics in Singapore, Malaysia, P.R. China and Myanmar. Karen had assisted in aspects of valuation with companies such as Sunpower Group Limited, Allied Technologies Limited, Advancer Global Limited, HC Surgical Specialists Limited, Keong Hong Holdings Limited, AA Group Holdings Limited, Soon Lian Holdings Limited, Singapore Myanmar Investco Limited and XMH Holdings Limited.

 

Karen is also involved in various valuation-related engagements such as employee share option valuation, financial instrument valuation, intangible asset valuation and purchase price allocation valuation work for the purpose of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards. She is also involved in corporate risk advisory assignments, covering internal control reviews on a variety of public and medium sector entities.
