Speaker Profiles

Mr Edwin Leow
Tax Director

Edwin is an Accredited Tax Advisor (Income Tax) with the Singapore Institute of Accredited Tax Professionals.

Passionate about tax, Edwin has since his graduation, accumulated two decades of professional experience in both local and international tax. During his past employment with two Big 4 international accounting firms, Edwin served multinationals, local publicly listed and private companies spanning various industries, covering areas such as corporate tax, individual tax and Goods and Services Tax.

Edwin also enriched his experience during his stint in a regional headquarter of a French MNC, giving him a deep appreciation of tax issues from the clients’ perspective.

Mr Ruben Siva

Ruben is a member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants and has more than 15 years of cumulative professional experience in local and international tax.

During his past employment with two top international accounting firms, he served large multinationals and domestic local enterprises spanning various industries in the oil & gas, shipping, financial services and fund management sectors.

He was a senior in-house tax manager with an oil and gas shipping company and part of the tax team of a large international bank before joining Nexia TS.  He has been engaged in extensive cross-border tax advisory and international tax planning work for corporates including involvement in a significant M&A transaction in the financial services sector.

Mr Koy Su Hiang

Su Hiang has more than 16 years of professional and commercial tax experience in Singapore and regional taxes, in the areas of Singapore corporate income tax, personal income tax and Goods and Services Tax (“GST”) compliance and advisory work.

He has spent more than nine years in international accounting firms where he has served clients across industries such as construction, fund management, manufacturing, media, property development and shipping.  He has also worked for over six years in a Singapore listed corporation where he was in charge of its tax accounting, compliance and advisory functions.

In Su Hiang’s tax roles, he has provided tax advice with respect to withholding taxes, mergers and acquisitions, disposal of investments, permanent establishments, employee taxation and transfer pricing. He has also performed tax due diligence, GST Assisted Self-Help Kit (“ASK”) reviews, and negotiated tax settlements with  the Singapore tax authorities.

Mr Alfred Chia

SingCapital Pte Ltd

Alfred is the CEO of SingCapital which is a Financial Advisory firm licensed by Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).

He has more than 25 years of experience in the financial advisory field serving both individuals and corporations, and sits on the board of various real estate funds as a non-executive director and advisory board member.

His insights and perspectives on various financial matters are widely sought after by numerous media channels from radio to TV.

This passion to share has also prompted Alfred to author 2 books, ‘Mortgage and Grow Rich’ and ‘Grow Rich Singapore Style’.  The books are dedicated to holistic financial planning towards financial well beings.
